A professional family are looking for a responsible and experienced, preferably Spanish speaking manny to take care of their six-year-old son. He is animated, but extremely affectionate and has many friends.

While in sole charge the manny’s responsibilities will include, but not limited to; preparing healthy meals and snacks, accompanying the child when he stays with friends and other activities, teaching language (preferably Spanish), help with first year school subjects such as numbers, reading and writing, to enjoy time with the child and supervise play dates, to keep everything in order – the child’s (games room, clothes, etc.), with some general cleaning required in unison with the homes current cleaning staff.

The ideal candidate loves children, is mature, reliable, punctual and well presented. They have at least five years’ of experience in childcare and preferably holds formal qualifications in childcare or education. Considerable experience with ADHD is also a must.  Must be a confident driver, and have a clean driving record, is active and into sports, can ride a bike, a swimmer, and is willing to travel with the family. Is trustworthy and can work alongside a parent, house staff, as well as independently.

Accommodation: A separate 2 bedroom apartment close to the city center of Düsseldorf with river views, with easy access, just 10 mins to the city center, airport, train stations. All expenses related to the apartment including WIFI covered.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • 5 years’ professional childcare experience
  • Preferably holds a Bachelor’s degree or higher, in education
  • Preferably has completed studies relating to ADHD
  • Bright, caring and positive demeanour
  • Demonstrates excellent judgement
  • Is legal to work for any employer in the EU
  • Paediatric/First Aid Certificate
  • Holds a clean background check (must have a Certificado de Penales)
  • Has a minimum of two contactable references
  • Holds a valid EU driver’s licence
